Hey everyone whose reading this! Which is i don't know who! But anyways we just wanted to make this blog as sort of an avenue to keep in touch with each other and in a more intimate, fun, exchangeable non-facebook way here! So here you have it!
Today I just arrived back at Berkeley. Garrett Calbert was on my same flight so that was cool! It's so freaking weird to be back but it's nice to see all your floormates and such again youknowwhatimean! I seriously brought way too much crap and my closet's bursting! I've got to start getting my clothes dirty so I can transfer some clothes from my closet to my hamper ha. And it's totally not cold here at all. It needs to become cold so I can utilize my thick jacket that took up half my bag!
Ah and school starts tomorrow. Oh crap. I have NO books whatsoever but hopefully it works out alright! I'm really scared for Spanish, like really really scared. But oh well we'll see how that works out. This entry is kind of pointless because I really don't have much to update about anything hahaha so I'll just leave it at that! I'm kind of excited to get back into the rhythm of things, get some quality production hustling and bustling! I hope everyone's school is going well too, if it's not, let us know so we can send you encouraging words and the like!
I've been reading all these articles about animal rights and Confined Animal Feeding Operations and yeah. It's really disheartening! It made me want to become vegetarian because of nearly all the chain restaurants we consume food at in some way supports inorganic animal husbandry or animal cruelty. ESPECIALLY KFC AND MCDONALD'S. Why oh why such delicious places?! But it's ridiculous really, the food supplier they use, Keystone foods, if i told you what they did to these chickens you'd cry! So, I really don't know what to think about that, school has good local and organic choices so I'm not really worried about that but it makes me really consider the source when eating out, right? I found a really good read to be Barbara Kingsolver's Animal, Vegetable, Miracle. It's about this family that tries to live a completely organic and home-grown lifestyle, meaning, complete subsistence and everything they eat grown in their own backyard. It's not really this preachy hardcore book advocating extreme veganism or anything, but it really puts things in perspective. I've been thinking about it for a while and I'm trying it out, and so I guess I've been vegetarian for 3 days now. Hopefully it sticks hhahaha allrighty well I think this is quite enough already, talk to y'all later! Or i guess here! Post something you, you reader! Now! :D
